Citroen C4 Auxiliary Belt Change

In this video Driveway Dudes Will easily replaces the Auxiliary belt on a 2008 Citroen C4 1.6hdi non air con model.

It's easy and straightforward with no special tools needed, just a size 15mm deep socket and a bar or you could use a wrench if you have one.

The belt used for this is an 805.
For the air con model a 965-975 and this would be fitted the same way.
Please check with your motor parts supplier as there may be slight differences in length and width depending on your region.

This fitting may also apply to other models.

Minix X8 Recovery

Driveway Dudes Paul got this Minix X8 Android box which was stuck on boot as the previous owner tried to update it but used the incorrect software/firmware and bricked it.

It had originally worked on android Kitkat 4.4.2.
In order to get it working again Paul will have to find a way to recover it to it's original factory settings.

The following links below is what is needed.

https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/neo-x8-x8-h-x8-plus-006fw-20160105-android-kitkat-os.66/

By following the instruction/guide on the video, you can recover yours if you are having the same issue.

N.B. Do not use software/firmware designed for the Minix Neo X8-H-Plus as it is completely different from the X8 and X8H.

Audi A3 A4 Airbag fix

In this video Driveway Dudes Paul shows you how to fix an airbag fault on an Audi A3.

The airbag warning is sometimes an automatic failure when being tested by vehicle test centres and some may deem the car unsafe to drive.

The car in this video is a 2008 Audi A3 1.9tdi 8P model.

This fault appears not to be uncommon on different Audi models and which can include some Volkswagen models also.
It may also apply to other makes and models of cars, vans, trucks, etc.

The most difficult part of this was to pinpoint the location of the fault.

Having the best OBD tools money can buy won't join wires together.

Paul used a flathead/blade type screwdriver, a budget battery powered solder pen, some solder and some heatshrink. DIY job done.

How to easily replace a 3 Pin Plug

Moulded plugs are great until you stand on them.
Driveway Dudes Paul accidently stood on a 3 pin electrical plug and bent one of the pins.
It wouldn't be safe to use so he decided to replace it with a shop bought one and here is how he did it.
Easy and straightforward with just a few basic tools.

Colours may vary from country to country and some plugs may only use two wires.

Please think safety.

How to use an XBox HDD on Windows 7 and 10

In a previous video Driveway Dudes Paul showed you how to reconfigure an XBox 360 HDD to work as an external drive for a Mac (link below)

In this video he shows you how to do the same using Windows 7 and 10.

No need to spend any more money than a to buy a very inexpensive adapter lead (€3 or equivalent in $ and £) which can be used again and again on different drives.

Easy and straightforward and in a few minutes you can use that hard drive that you thought was useless, made useful again as an external/internal/other devices or even dare we say it, for a PS

How to replace an RJ45 ethernet connector plug yourself

What's worse than having your ethernet plug constantly fall out of your tv, laptop, modem, hub, server, router, etc because the little locking tab broke.

Well all is not lost as Driveway Dudes Paul shows you how to easily replace an RJ45 ethernet connector plug yourself.

You can buy the plugs quite cheaply (less than 5c each) usually available at an electrical retail outlet or online.
The crimping tool would cost you less than €10 or equivalent in you countries currency.

You could probably buy a ready made cable for less but what if the cable was in an inaccessible place.
And also wouldn't it be fun to learn something new and do it yourself.

Tools used
Safety blade, Snips, and Crimping tool.

Please think safety. Knives can be sharp.
