Opel/Vauxhall Astra H 1.4 Oil and Filter Change

Driveway Dudes guest presenter Jonathan shows you how to change the oil and oil filter on an Opel/Vauxhall Astra H GTC 1.4

This service can be carried out easily and by yourself on your driveway.

Wear suitable clothing, gloves and if possible eye protection while underneath the car. Also have rags to wipe/clean oil residue.

Be safe, use axle stands to support the car. Do not rely on the car jack alone and try to work on a level surface.

Tools used are as follows:
Good quality car jack.
A pair of axle stands with recommended load exceeding cars weight.
Drain can/oil collector.
27mm spanner, socket or adjustable wrench.
Size T45 torx bit, adapter and ratchet.
Torque wrench and adapter.
Cardboard or something suitable to lie on underneath the car.
