Water Conservation At Home

Driveway Dudes Paul shows you how to easily conserve water at home by using plastic water bottles in your toilet cistern.

He filled 5 bottles, each 50cl (1 US pint) with water, making sure there was no air bubbles inside and placed them in a 9L (19 US pints) capacity toilet cistern.

The water cistern refills to the 9L water line and when you flush, you only use 6.5L (13.7 US pints),  a saving of approximately 27% per flush.
Using the same method in several home toilets will definitely cut your water usage and will be noticed when you get your next water utility bill.

Different toilet cisterns may require different sized bottles.
